Janet Sgro, BFA, MAATC, ATR
Owner, Art Therapist
Art Therapist Janet Sgro is a clinician with master’s level degree trained in Art Therapy, Somatic Art Therapy and Clinical Counseling. This enables her to help diverse communities in various settings—from medical institutions and wellness centers, to schools and independent practices.
Janet is a trained artist from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, named the most influential art school in the country. She coninutes to create artwork through Janet Sgro Art & Design Co.. Janet is also a credentialed mental health care professional who cares deeply about the clients she supports in their process of healing through art.
Janet is guided by ethical standards, scope of clinical practice, her masters level education and advanced training. She is certified in trauma education from The Institute of Sensorimotor Art Therapy in Austrailia. Janet continues to work with an ongoing team of supervised specialists in the field from all over the world.
